Get ready for a Hot Summer!
All ready it been a great start to what's looking like the best summer yet for Greeneville and Greene County as far as entertainment goes. Dogwood Park had an awesome kick off with Madison Metcalf, The Willi and Dugger Band. Folks came out for this one and stayed till was all over. Next show is June 16th and it's going to be a Classic Rock Show like never before. Billy Greer lead singer for the legendary band Kansas returns to Greeneville with his brother Johnny and their good friend and past band mate Benny Wilson for reunion of The Odds and Ends. Several original members plan to join the group and the rest will speak for it's self. Opening this show is the Shiloh Revival headed up by band leader Kenneth "Shadow" Winterbauer. Shiloh was formed back in the early 70's and toured the south for several years before disbanding. The reunion of these two band will bring new meaning to Classic Rock, these guys are the ones who made Rock Classic!
The City of Greeneville is bringing back the July 4th celebration with an all day party starting with a parade down Main Street which ends at Big Springs. From there it's music, dancers, games for the kids, food and the day will end with a Fireworks display. It's all FREE and the areas best entertainers will be on hand for you to enjoy.
Who's knows what will happen from there! I guess you'll have to stay tuned to see. Get out and support local music, local businesses and enjoy what our community has to offer. TIG, it's for you so tune in often!
